An Interesting Observation..

Feeling: Cheerful; Venue: At home (where else??)

Yesterday after the wedding, I was on my way to town to meet up with Xiaoyun and Shahril, using MERT as my mode of transport. It was a pretty long journey all the way from Tampines to CityHall, then to change the line to North-South, and then to alight at Orchard station. I was sitted directly opposite this malay couple - a guy and a gal. The guy was clad in the funky style - loose 3/4 jeans and loose tee, wavy hair with chunks of bracelets on his wrists. The gal, on the other hand, has this typical minah look. But she is not exactly the minah either. She is wearing this denim jacket with a top within, tight denim jeans and strappy sandals on her feet, together with a LV handbag. Quite decently dressed I will say. She does has the typical minah makeup on her face - pencil thin drawn eyebrow (the kind that you know that once you wipe off the drawing, there is NO brow there at all!), pale-looking face with lip gloss. Probably she is a newbie and had just stepped into the band of minah-hood. Thus still pretty new to their culture and dress sense. Haha!!

Their body language kept me looking at them. No, no don't misunderstand me. They did not perform any PDA (public display of affection) in front of me. They were rather shy with each other. When I 1st got into the train and sat down, I noticed them speaking rather coyly to each other. After that throughout the journey, the gal will be smsing away, or kept dialling number to her friends (apparently her friend did not pick up coz there was no conversation on the phone), or simply replacing the hp into her bag then fishing it out again then replacing into her bag and fishing out again etc and the cycle goes on and on and on... The guy on the other hand, will be staring blankly into the thin air with folded arms, or playing his hp games. Not much conversation between the 2 of them. When there is, it will be very coy conversation, just a few lines followed with long bode of silence.

I was BORED throughout the journey. I started analysing their body language and let my imagination go wild abit. I reckon that it must be their 1st meeting up with each other. They were sitting right next to each other but the way their ass were placed on the seats with the big gap in-between still (despite sitting right next to each other), together with their own agenda of 'activities' and coy conversations throughout the entire journey that I observed, I reckoned that they had probably got to know each other through some internet chat or phone chats, followed by some exchanged of emails and smses, and yesterday was their very 1st time meeting each other!! I smiled to myself. They looked so adorable - shy, coy, lost. Hee hee ..... so adorable... they looked pretty young. Probably only 17-18yrs old. Probably they will warm up soon while they are puffing away their sticks. Then they will get attached to each other, be introduced to each other's gang and hang out together. If things get ugly, all they will do will be just to 'break up'. Tadaaaaaaaaaaa~~~ sounds simple rite??


Disclaimer: I have NOTHING against them/mats/minahs etcetera. It was only a for-fun baseless analysis.
